FORMER Glasgow Labour MP Paul Sweeney defended a “f*** Boris” note left on his parliamentary door after last week’s election.
The outgoing shadow Shadow Minister for Scotland said he thought the memo was “quite funny”.
The note, written on House of Commons headed paper, is understood to have been penned by a member of Mr Sweeney’s staff.
It was left on the outside of the room he shared with fellow ousted Labour MP Danielle Rowley when they were at Westminster.
He put a pic of the note on social media, and wrote: “House of Commons handover completed”.

The expression “f*** Boris” was popularised by London rapper Stormzy in his hit tune Vossi Bop.
Last month the UK artist became embroiled in a Twitter swat with Tory minister Michael Gove.
Speaking to The Times, Mr Sweeney said: “I thought [the note] was quite funny.
“It was just somewhat gallows humour.
“I think a lot of people will be saying [f*** Boris] in the next four and a half years. Maybe they will say it’s a visionary statement.”
Speaking about the election, the ex-MP said: “I think the point was that it was a smash-and-grab election on the part of the Tories.
“They knew what they were doing and so did the SNP and the Lib Dems.
“People are now going to learn the hard way that the Tories are not in the interests of working-class people and they are going to hammer them.”
Paul Sweeney was first elected as Labour MP for Glasgow North East in 2017.
He ousted incumbent SNP MP Anne McLaughlin by a narrow margin of just 242 votes.

A Scottish Tory spokesperson said: “This was a classless move from two forgettable and utterly ineffective MPs.
“That piece of paper will probably have a greater legacy than those two.”
